A friend sent me an email on the benefits of drinking water at specific times. Her source came from the Mayo Clinic. I have not checked her source but I wanted to share it anyway. (Can never go wrong with targeted water drinking.)
They are:
1. Drink 2 glasses of water after waking up to help activate your internal organs.
2. Drink 1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal help your digestion.
3. Drink 1 glass of water before taking a bath helps lower your blood pressure.
4. Drink 1 glass of water before going to bed avoids stroke or heart attack.
If you happen to be a water drinker to begin with, following these guidelines should be a piece of cake. But…If you’re like me, who never has made drinking water a habit, then these guidelines are worthless. Yes, it has made me more aware that I need to step up my health program and drink more water. But the action steps that I’m taking to reach this goal are made up of baby steps; tiny little steps, one sip at a time which I repeat over and over again and hopefully it’ll become an automatic behavior and that’s when it will be a HABIT! I asked my husband to be my accountability partner and help me celebrate whenever I take those sips. Every sip takes me closer to my goal. I’m giving myself 6-7 months to reach those goals. It’ll be my birthday gift to myself.

Drinking the right amount of water is beneficial to our health. We must develop this healthy habit.
